. . .
there's no point in even discussing vaccinations with somebody who is already
convinced they know better than we do but it's interesting that most doctors
get so defensive and agitated by those of us who choose not to vaccinate our
kids.
I've never
come up with anything like it with regards to other medical situations such as
declining to use antibiotics or paracetamol and that's in a situation where my
child is already sick, so it seems an unbalanced reaction when they want to
argue it out with us.

Samantha,
Yes, it's
true that M.D.s consistently react in an over-the-top emotional way to those
who question or postpone vaccination.
I have
never heard of a pro-vax M.D. who was willing to carry on a reasoned
conversation on this subject.
Check out
my $75,000 reward for M.D.s or pharmco CEOs to drink a vax additive cocktail:

It's been
almost six years since the original ($20,000) offer first made the rounds on
the internet (it's now on over 300 web sites). And so far -- no takers.
That's why
I recently upped the ante to $75,000.
Sincerely,
Jock

Hi Jock,
It's an
amazing proposal your offer of $75,000 and I remember finding out about that
years ago.
I love your
site. I'm not in the least
surprised that nobody has taken you up on that offer all this time. It blows my mind that people inject
something directly into their bloodstream that is toxic to drink.
The MD (or
GP as we call them here in Oz) that has given me the most grief is an old
family friend.
Even though
we have calmly discussed Unassisted Birth which he feels is very unsafe and
have gone over his advice to circumcise my son which turned out to be rubbish
and he made it clear he thought a lotus birth was crazy he cannot talk to me in
a rational way about vaccination.
He gets
very agitated, red in the face, leaps about the room, gets out volumes of stats
to show me and actually told me outright that my child will get measles and
become permanently damaged.
By the end
of our conversation which I allowed to go on way too long I felt embarrassed
for him and I lost a lot of respect for him at that day. It came up because I asked him for a
vaccination exemption form and he refused to give me one let alone sign it and
I wonder if that is usual.
My
understanding was that the doctor is obliged to explain the risks of not
vaccinating (i.e. that my child might contract the diseases . . .), not decide
anything on my behalf and choose who does and doesn't get to apply for
exemption. I must ask the AVN [Australian Vaccination Network] about that.
At the
vaccination seminar that I went to recently they talked about the similarity
between tobacco companies and drug companies and how years ago tobacco
companies refused to acknowledge that they were killing people and making them
sick for profit and that drug companies that produce vaccines are doing the
same today.
Eventually
tobacco companies were open about the dangers of cigarettes and had to clearly
announce the dangers on the package and compensate people if they do become ill
or die.
The hope is
that in time drug companies producing vaccines will also be as transparent and
will compensate damaged recipients of their product as well as clearly announce
the dangers to purchasers of their product rather than what we have now which
is a piddly little insert in the vaccine packet which does acknowledge some of
the dangers but in the tiniest writing which nobody seems to read anyway.
Tobacco
companies also used to offer incentives to those promoting their product
(sponsored sporting teams etc.) and they are no longer allowed to do this, and
it would be great if doctors weren't being bribed to push these drugs on us but
rather respected our right to informed choice and offered us all the info
openly.
